History

The Estey Group has been a cornerstone of innovation and dedication in Saint John, Canada, for over a century. Our story began in 1866, with the establishment of Estey & Co., Ltd., originally founded at 90 Prince William Street by Z.G. Gabel.
Following a devastating fire, the business relocated to 110 Prince William Street, where it flourished under the management of Mr. Gabel’s sons-in-law, Estey and Allywood. After Mr. Gabel’s passing, the firm became Estey & Allywood Company before transitioning to its current name, The Estey Group. Over several decades, The Estey Group has solidified its reputation as a trusted wholesaler and sourcing partner, embodying a legacy of teamwork and innovative hustle.
